You just put water on them and let them sprout on their own. You don't have to keep rinsing them off all the time.
I mean you don't want to use tap water to sprout. Chlorine delays germination. Use distilled or bottled water.
Heck…. I bet you can use a "Chia Pet" and Sprout them that way and let the birds pick the Sprouts off the Clay surface. Clay is not harmful to parrots.
